Design Project Poster
Image of full band

- I resized and placed the image properly, masked out the background of the photo, and used a brightness/contrast layer to decrease the contrast. The image came from "https://wcyb.com/news/local/christian-band-mercyme-to-perform-in-knoxville-in-april-2024 "

Image of crowd in theater

I resized and placed the image to take up the entire poster. I placed it over a black background and decreased the opacity to decrease the focus on the image, I used a radial black to white gradiant mask on top. The image came from "https://stock.adobe.com/search?k=concert+crowd https://www.istockphoto.com/illustrations/easter-cross-silhouette "

Image of Mercy Me playing on stage

I resized the image and placed it, and then decreased the opacity and applied a gaussian blur to make it appear like a big viewing screen at a theater. The image came from "https://www.eventticketscenter.com/mercyme-tickets/6063/c"

Image of three crosses

I resized and placed the image, masked out the background as well as portions that I didn't want, and then decreased the opacity in order to subtly superinpose the crosses in the image since it is a Christian pop band. The image came from "https://www.istockphoto.com/illustrations/easter-cross-silhouette"

Image of the band's logo

I resized and placed the image and then masked out the background. I also masked out the band's name in order to use my own type face. I applied an inner bevel, a gradient overlay, and a drop shadow to make the logo pop. THe image came from "https://www.children.org/join/event/artist/mercyme"

Image of fancy swirls

I rezied and placed the image and then masked out the background. I applied an inner bevel, a color overlay, and a drop shadow to make it pop and match the logo. I then copied, pasted, flipped horizontally, and placed a second copy on the other side of the logo. The image came from "https://www.vecteezy.com/free-vector/swirl-banner"

I know that some of the images I used were simple images, but I think that the simple final product looks much better than if I had tried to use more complex images.
